A few of the knowledge on this paper by Wu and colleagues (BMJ 2025;388:e082583, doi:10.1136/bmj-2024-082583, revealed 15 January 2025) have been up to date. Disruptions to scientific service throughout the covid-19 pandemic affected the info verification course of at a number of the trial centres resulting in inaccurate knowledge being entered within the trial database.
