Dr. Lori Brotto, government director of the Girls’s Well being Analysis Institute, professor at UBC and Canada Analysis Chair in Girls’s Sexual Well being, has been awarded a prestigious C2 award from Well being Analysis BC. Her mission will form the way forward for menopause care and wholesome getting older for girls in British Columbia and the world over.
Dr. Brotto’s mission will set up a collaborative “Analysis Agenda for Menopause and Midlife Girls’s Well being,” bringing collectively researchers, healthcare suppliers, and people with lived expertise. By participating consultants throughout nursing, drugs, psychology, and social sciences, alongside individuals with lived expertise, the mission will create actionable pathways to enhance care and outcomes for midlife girls. This initiative addresses essential gaps in menopause care by fostering trauma-informed, patient-centered options and paving the best way for a Centre of Excellence in menopause analysis and medical care.
