Rabat — Morocco gained 45 medals, together with 16 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze, on the Worldwide College Gymnasiade, held from October 22 to 31 in Bahrain’s Manama.
With this tally, the nationwide faculty group ranked first in Africa and seventh worldwide, out of 71 international locations represented by 5,400 college students in 30 sport disciplines at this competitors, organized beneath the aegis of the Worldwide College Sports activities Federation (ISF).
Morocco was represented by 71 college students in seven sport disciplines: athletics, taekwondo, judo, karate, archery, badminton and orienteering race.
In a press launch issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Nationwide Schooling, Preschool and Sports activities hailed Moroccan pupils’ outcomes at nationwide and worldwide stage, highlighting the efforts made alongside the Royal Moroccan Federation of College Sport and the sports activities federations concerned, in addition to the executive, educating and technical employees.
To the Ministry, this optimistic final result displays the division’s specific curiosity in selling faculty sport, by offering complete sports activities and academic coaching to assist pupils develop their sporting abilities.
